Hariyali Institute organized a one-day training program on ‘’Commercial Livestock Farming’’ and another one-day program on ‘’Commercial Agriculture Farming’’ in Singa, Myagdi on 25 and 26 February 2022. Staff of the Hariyali Myagdi Farm and farmers from Beni municipality and Mangala and Malika rural municipalities participated in these programs. The training on Livestock Farming focused on goat, fish and poultry farming while the focus of the training on Agriculture Farming was on integrated soil fertility management and seasonal vegetables and fruits. In both the training programs, concepts were discussed in the training room in the first half and practical field works were done in the Hariyali farm in the second half. In the Livestock Training Program, Dr. Md. Iqbal Hussain (Chief of the Fisheries Research Center, Begnas, Pokhara), Dr. Janashrit Shrestha (Veterinary Doctor of Beni Municipality, Myagdi) and Subhas Regmi (Technician of Veterinary Hospital and Livestock Service Expert Centre, Myagdi) worked as the resource persons. Similarly, Dr. Tika Bahadur Karki (Senior Scientist of National Agriculture Research Centre, Khumaltar, Kathmandu), Chandra Kanta Timilsina (Technical Officer of Agriculture Research Directorate, Lumle, Kaski) and Nirmala KC (Agriculture Officer of Agriculture Knowledge Center, Myagdi) were the resource persons in the Agriculture Training. Dr. Tika Bahadur Karki, Advisor of the Hariyali Institute, also capacitated the farmers on “Community Based Seed Production Program for Maize” in a program organized by Beni Municipality-2, Myagdi on 27 February 2078 in Sanalekh.
